I have always been a dog lover. Ever since I was little I have had both dogs and cats. My mom and dad currently have six dogs and two cats. I guess I have just learned and loved
animals from them. Now my husband and our children have learned the love we have for animals too.
Currently, I have three, actually two dogs and one puppy. They are all girls, Sparkles (7) a English Bulldog, Goatie Girl (7) a Pit Bull, and Lilyanna, (12 weeks) a Teddy Bear or Zuchon. Before these three, I bred Shar Pei’s. Oh how I loved those wrinkles! Currently, the Shar Pei pups, now dogs, are in the USA and Canada and have puppies of their own!
Dogs are like family and they always should be treated that way.
That being said, getting a puppy is a whole different ball game then getting an adult dog. We have done it both ways. Our Sparkles came to us when she was 8 weeks, our Goatie we got from the animal shelter, and our Lily is currently 12 weeks. Puppies are great for raising a dog the way you want them to be. Our Goatie girl has been through some rough spells before she came to us but fits right in and is the gentlest pit bull ever! We love all of them so!
So here we are again with a puppy and “boy, don’t you love potty training!” Let’s talk about it, get some ideas out there of what works and what doesn’t.
At any time, please let me know if you have any questions! I am here for you.
